Common questions:

Wouldn't an air purifier with a HEPA filter or UV light work as well?

The HEPA filter only captures viruses but does not kill them. A person may be exposed to significant concentration of viruses while conducting a replacement of the HEPA filter. UV light can only kill viruses when the exposure and intensity are sufficient, but produces ozone that is harmful to human health.

 

How does KALTECH Sterilisation devices work?

The device sterilises and deoderises the air through photocatalysis. Air is energised by a build-in LED light that shines onto a titanium dioxide sheet, releasing hydroxyl radicals that attack organic molecules (like viruses), tearing apart their chemical bonds and turning them into carbon dioxide and water.
